Early TV Signal Transmitted During The 1930's Immagini Di Repertorio Degli Anni ' 30
Published on Apr 2, 2012During the 1930s Bruno and Giovanni Fracarro, founders of the company, first succeeded in receiving a transmitted signal from London. This was made possible by the prototype of Fracarro's first ever television set made by using a Nipkow disk. This video is a short representation of the play "The man with the flower in his mouth" by Italian playwright Pirandello. It's evoking if we think of the period in which it was first transmitted

Little Rascals in Little Daddy - Unknown
This one was banned and had remained locked up in the video vaults for many years. I always thought that the Little Rascals was cute. Who could be evil enough to ban one of their episodes? Enjoy this gem from the Silver Screen.

This classic TV program, "The Ruggles", aired on the ABC-TV Network from 1949 to 1952. A few episodes survive, and presented here is one of them, a "Christmas" episode. The show was aired live, but this print missing a few minutes of footage, however it's still watchable.

"Rocky King Detective" - Murder, PH.D.
Episode "Murder, PH.D." of the classic 50's TV series "Rocky King, Detective", which ran on the DuMont Television Network from 1950 to 1955. The series was broadcast live, and it's believed most episodes of the show are lost. The show got decent ratings and generally good reviews, and is among the better DuMont Network programs.

Late 1950 Episode of sitcom ''The Trouble With Father'' - Thank You, Mr Jarvis
An episode of the sitcom "The Trouble with Father" that probably aired on the 9th of December, 1950. In this episode, the Ewrin family win a famous butler in a radio contest, but find he doesn't quite suit the family. Starring real-life couple Stu and June Erwin. (Season 1, Episode 8)

''The Trouble with Father'' - The Business (Probably February 1952)
An average episode of the early 1950s sitcom "The Trouble with Father". I'm not sure if I got the episode title or date right, but it does feature some of the original commercials (more fun than you'd think) and a plot line that shows the more things change, the more they stay the same. In this episode, Stu ends up co-owning a Dress-shop. I hope the picture quality isn't too awful.

''The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show'' (Episode aired 1/November/1954)
An episode of the classic TV comedy "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show", which I presume aired during the 1st of November, 1954. This episodes consists of two segments: one with Gracie trying to get a drivers licence, and a second about George writing a book. Contains original commercials, but my video source is mediocre.

Rare Historic Footage: ''Howdy Doody'' - 3 November 1952
In this rare historic footage from the 3rd of November, 1952, we see rare insight into early children's television, in this case NBC's "Howdy Doody". Highlights include: Clarabell the Clown causing mischief; Several male and female children being asked what they'd do if they were elected President of the USA; Two commercials for 5th Avenue candy bars; and the ever-popular NBC-TV ID.
